DavMail is a gateway that allows standard email, calendar and contact applications to communicate with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 services.
Rather than requiring a client to implement Microsoft’s Exchange protocols itself, DavMail presents familiar Internet protocols locally or across a network. Mail applications can use IMAP or POP for mailbox access and SMTP for sending messages, while calendar and contact clients can use CalDAV and CardDAV.
An LDAP interface provides access to the Exchange global address book. This makes DavMail particularly useful with Linux applications that support open protocols but do not provide native Exchange connectivity.
