Ancestris – free genealogy software

Ancestris is generalogy software that keeps your research under control.

It can manage several genealogies at the same time. Tree sharing allows you to automatically find common ancestors with other users and share information with them.

You can create your (individual and family) forms, edit reports (lists, statistics…), store multimedia content (photos, videos…). You can make your family book, print your pedigree chart or your descendancy chart. In addition, there’s a number of extensions (plugins) for the verification of the GEDCOM format, the geolocation of the events in your genealogy. You can browse the net without leaving Ancestris.

Ancestris is cross-platform software as it’s written in the Java programming language.
