Trackballs – marble game inspired by the 80s Atari classic Marble Madness

Trackballs is a simple game similar to the legendary game Marble Madness on the Amiga released in the 80’s.

By steering a marble ball through a labyrinth filled with vicious hammers, pools of acid and other obstacles the player collects points. When the ball reaches the destination it continues at the next, more difficult level – unless the time runs out.

This game is not intended to be a replica of Marble Madness but rather inspired by it. For instance the game uses advanced 3D graphics even though the original game had no real use for them. The game is also highly configurable by using a scripting extension (Guile) and it provides a simple editor by which new levels can easily be created.

Features include:

• 13 different level sets with a total of 70 different levels including:
  • ‘Six Levels’.
  • The Great Escape.
  • Box-O-Fun.
  • Child of Tales.
  • Castles.
• Built-in Map editor to create your own levels.
• Designer can use a powerful scripting language to decide which objects should be displayed and, optionally, even customize how they should behave.
• Internationalization support.
