Videomass – cross-platform GUI for FFmpeg and youtube-dl

Summary

Videomass is a handy utility if you want to download video from YouTube and other sites. It works well in operation and is simple and intuitive.

The program offers a useful alternative to Tartube. It doesn’t offer the range of functionality offered by that program though.

If you prefer accessing YouTube material from the command-line, we recommend using youtube-dl, You-Get, or even Annie. They offer excellent functionality, and have a large following of both users and developers. But we are conscious that many people prefer an attractive and advanced graphical user interface.
