Melodic Mix – simple mixer and digital signal processing application

Melodic Mix is a simple mixer and digital signal processing application for live performances.

It’s a fork of Easy Effects, itself formerly known as PulseEffects, refocused around mixing and live audio processing with a Qt, QML, KDE and Kirigami-based interface. The application lets users build an effects chain, reorder effects, and apply a range of audio processing tools suited to performance and sound shaping.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Provides a simple mixer and DSP toolset for live performances.
  • Offers effects including bass enhancer, bass loudness, de-esser, delay, filter, level meter, pitch shift, reverberation, compressor, and exciter.
  • Lets users control the order of effects in the signal chain.
  • Supports filter modes including low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-reject.
  • Uses plugin dependencies including Linux Studio Plugins, Calf Studio Gear, ZamAudio, SoundTouch, and other audio libraries for specific effects.
  • Includes planned support for additional effects such as auto gain, convolver, equalizer, expander, gate, limiter, loudness, chorus, and noise reduction.
