dfc – report file system space usage information

dfc is a tool to report file system space usage information. It’s similar to the df tool.

When the output is a terminal, it uses color and graphs by default.

Without any argument, size is displayed in human-readable format. When using human-readable format, there might be some rounding when computing the size. If you want maximum precision, use the “-u” option and choose the unit.

This is free and open source software.

Features include:

• Export output to HTML, JSON, TeX and CSV formats.
• Multiple filtering options including the ability to filter by file system type. There’s also the option to use wildcard filtering.
• Sort the output based in name, type, and mount.
• Show mount options.
• Built in feature that makes the output auto adjust based on terminal width.
• Show information about indoes
• Option to use SI units.
• Optional configuration file which lets you change dfc default colours, values when colours change, the graph symbol in text mode, and modify the colours in HTML export.
