In Operation
The software lets you control things like the output format, frame rate, audio capture, as well as defining the audio input source. Name the video and choose its location, or the program will use a timestamp as the filename. All the options are contained in the single window which makes the program very easy to use.
Like any competent screen recording tool, we can record an area, a screen, or a window.
Summary
Blue Recorder is a very simple screen recorder which supports X.Org and Wayland. It works well with GNOME (we’ve yet to test it with other desktop environments), and is a good alternative to SimpleScreenRecorder.
The utility lets you capture video and audio in a variety of different formats: MP4, MKV, WEBM, GIF, AVI, WMV, and NUT.
The software is based on the now defunct Green Recorder.
