AFICK – security tool

AFICK (Another File Integrity ChecKer) is a security tool. It is a command-line program, although there is a Tcl/Tk graphical interface as well (see screenshow below).

It allows users to monitor the changes on filesystems, and therefore detect intruders.

It is designed to be a portable clone of aide (Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment), or Tripwire software.

Features include:

  • Fast in operation.
  • Displays new/deleted/modified files.
  • Display dangling links.
  • Can be used by any user.
  • Any number of base and config.
  • Config file with exceptions and jokers.
