Apache OpenOffice – integrated desktop office suite

Apache OpenOffice is a desktop office suite for creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics and databases. It continues the OpenOffice.org project and provides a familiar collection of productivity applications designed to work together.

The software uses the OpenDocument Format as its native document standard and can work with various Microsoft Office formats. Its applications share common interface elements and formatting conventions, helping users move between different types of office documents.

Apache OpenOffice is intended for general office work, educational use and personal productivity. It provides the established desktop workflows associated with traditional office suites, including local document storage, printing, document templates and extensibility through additional components.
