Linux enjoys a very large software library of games, the vast majority of which can be downloaded without any payment. Helping to identify great games is made difficult by the fact that to a large extent games are a matter of taste. Furthermore, some players prefer games of tactics, others enjoy the communication with fellow gamers. There are those who hanker for games that require quick reflexes, or which truly challenge the mind.
In this third and final segment, we recommend a further 14 free Linux games which are great fun, highly addictive, and exceedingly playable. The objective of this article is not to choose games which necessarily excel in the visual department, but rather to pick games which are definitely worth investing your time in learning how to play. We cover a number of different game genres, and hopefully there will something here of interest to all types of gamers.
This article is the last part in the series entitled 42 Hot Free Linux Games. Part 1 and Part 2 are also available.
