xtmsplit – Xtremsplit-compliant file splitter and merger

xtmsplit is a command line program that allows to use or create .xtm files, like the Xtremsplit program allows on Windows.

It therefore allows files to be split into several .xtm files, or to be glued together. This format also offers a verification system for .xtm files using MD5 hashes.

This is free and open source software.

Flags:

• cut – splits the file into multiple .xtm files.
• paste – reconstitutes the original file from the .xtm files.
• -md5 – forces the use of md5 hashes (this is the default behavior).
• -nomd5 – do not use md5 hashes.
• -koe – continue assembling files on md5 error.
• -d  – FOLDER folder in which the reconstructed file will be placed.
• -f – FILENAME replace original filename with FILENAME.
• -size n specifies the size of .xtm files in MB (1024 KB).
• -del delete the original file on success.
• -silent reduces the amount of messages displayed on output.
