neercs – like GNU screen but much more

neercs is a replacement for the screen utility with a raft of additional functionality besides being able to detach a session from a terminal. This app is in an early stage of development.

Features include:

  • Grabbing a process that you forgot to start inside neercs.
  • Great screensaver.
  • 3D rotating cube to switch between full screen terms.
  • Real time thumbnails of your shells.
  • Special effects when closing a window.
  • Various window layouts.
  • Keyboard shortcuts:
    • Next window.
    • Previous window.
    • Switch window manager.
    • Create new window.
    • Thumbnails.
    • Detach.
    • Close window and kill associated process.
    • Dump screen into a file.
