Inscriptions is a graphical translation application built around the DeepL service. Rather than using a web browser each time text needs translating, it provides a focused desktop interface for sending text to DeepL and displaying the resulting translation.
A DeepL API key is required, and the program supports both free and paid API accounts. Its available source and target languages therefore follow those offered by DeepL. Inscriptions deliberately keeps its own scope narrow, concentrating on making routine text translation quick and uncomplicated rather than trying to become a broader language-learning suite.
