Guvcview (GTK UVC Viewer) is a webcam application for viewing, controlling and recording video from devices supported by Video4Linux.
The program provides detailed access to the controls exposed by compatible webcams. This makes it useful not only for capturing images and video, but also for testing camera settings and adjusting image quality before using the device with another application.
Guvcview normally separates the video preview from the control interface. One window displays the incoming camera feed, while another provides access to settings and recording functions.
It can also operate as a camera control utility without displaying a separate preview, allowing settings to be changed while another application uses the webcam.
This is free and open source software.
