Last Updated on August 11, 2021

Other Features

  • Embed the GLava OpenGL audio spectrum visualizer on your desktop background. Use the –desktop flag. The software detects the desktop environment you’re running, and sets the appropriate properties.
  • Configure the modules, editing the files (which are in GLSL1). Change the colors, transparency, and much more.
  • Ability to stream simple types of data to GLava at runtime via the –pipe feature.
  • Supports most EWMH-compliant window managers. They includes Mutter (GNOME, Budgie), KWin (KDE), Openbox (LXDE), Xfwm (XFCE), Fluxbox, IceWM, and Bspwm. A few window managers are not fully supported or need testing such as Enlightenment and Xmonad.
  • Create your own modules.

1 GLSL is shorthand for the official OpenGL Shading Language. GLSL is a C/C++ similar high level programming language for several parts of the graphic card.
