Fedinspect – analyse Fediverse servers

Fedinspect is an application for analysing Fediverse servers and user accounts. It’s a GNOME application to enable developers to inspect and analyse fediverse server configurations.

It provides detailed information about server configurations, capabilities, and user profiles using standard protocols like NodeInfo, WebFinger, and ActivityPub.

This is free and open source software.

Features include:

• Instance Analysis: Discover and analyze fediverse server metadata using the NodeInfo protocol.
• WebFinger Lookup: Perform RFC 7033 WebFinger lookups to find user accounts and resources.
• API Inspection: Query Mastodon API endpoints (/api/v1/instance, /api/v2/instance).
• Schema Validation: Validate server responses against official JSON schemas.
• Debug Mode: View detailed HTTP request/response information for troubleshooting.
