FangOS is an Arch-based Linux distribution built around the KDE Plasma desktop. It aims to provide a ready-to-use desktop system while retaining Arch’s rolling-release foundation and package ecosystem.
The distribution is supplied as a live image with the Calamares graphical installer. FangOS targets standard 64-bit PCs and supports both UEFI and legacy BIOS booting. Its development files, ArchISO profile, custom packages, branding and installer configuration are maintained in a public GitHub repository.
FangOS also includes some project-specific tooling and presentation rather than simply shipping an unmodified Arch installation.
