Curseradio – curses interface for browsing and playing internet radio

Last Updated on September 3, 2020

Summary

Curseradio is a really simple curses based application for navigating and playing radio streams. It consumes little system resources.

If you like console software and want to listen to internet radio, Curseradio works well, but the favorites functionality is broken. It also doesn’t have the attractive curses interface or polish of PyRadio.

The software is limited to mpv to play streams, whereas PyRadio offers more flexibility here. Curseradio needs some tender love and care.

Actually, it’s not clear the software is actively maintained, with the last commit back in October 2017.
