ArchiveKeep is a utility that keeps your files archived in multiple places, in a reliable and simple way.
The primary requirements and priorities of ArchiveKeep are to make process of reliable archivation to be simple and easy:
- Safe replication to other storages:
- Prevent propagation of redactions and deletion of files
- Prevent propagation of corruption and destructive changes of original information,
- Offline storages – external HDDs – have first class support,
- Plain files for direct access, maximum compatibility and convenience,
- Optional server with asynchronous online synchronisation.
This is free and open source software.

rmfiles from plain working archive.- should be able to remove existing files from index, and also files that were deleted but are still present in the index.

- Sgned public metadata – storing checksums and public-safe information,
- Encrypted private metadata:
- Asymmetrical encryption to potentially support multiple consumers capable of decrypting contents for sharing purposes,
- Stores symmetric encryption key for contents and other sensitive data.
- Symmetrically encrypted content with random-access support.
- Hosting server with WebUI.
- Your data is entirely at your control.
- Plain files for data and existing standards over custom formats.
- No SPOF, including your laptop having access every online service,
- No destructive operation allowed unless action is explicitly confirmed.
