UrsaOS is an Arch Linux-based rolling distribution designed to provide a complete, preconfigured desktop while retaining the familiar Arch package base and tooling.
The distribution uses KDE Plasma running on Wayland as its desktop environment. Rather than presenting users with an essentially blank Arch installation, UrsaOS supplies a curated desktop with its own Aurora visual theme, SDDM login screen and a selection of applications intended for everyday desktop use.
Btrfs is the default filesystem, with a subvolume layout suitable for system snapshots.
The project also develops some software specifically for the distribution, including BearHub, a graphical package manager, and BearWave, an internet radio application.
