rargs – xargs alternative with pattern matching

rargs is a command-line utility that combines the functionality of xargs and awk with regular expression pattern matching. It reads lines from standard input, extracts fields or matching groups and substitutes them into commands for execution.

The utility supports both numbered and named regular expression captures. It also allows input to be split using delimiters, making it useful for processing structured text without writing a separate awk script.

rargs can execute commands concurrently using multiple workers. This makes it suitable for batch file operations, downloads and other tasks that can benefit from parallel execution.
