MuliOS Arch – Arch Linux distribution with KDE Plasma

MuliOS Arch is a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. It combines Arch’s software ecosystem with a customised desktop experience, aiming to make installation, configuration and everyday system maintenance more approachable.

The distribution is built using Archiso rather than maintained as a separate fork of Arch Linux. It uses upstream Arch packages as its foundation, adding project-specific configurations, desktop components and utilities. This approach keeps the operating system closely aligned with Arch while giving it a distinct identity.

MuliOS is designed around flexibility and personalisation. Its developers are also working on system profiles tailored to activities such as gaming, software development, studying and privacy. The profile system continues to evolve.

What's a Linux distribution ("distro")?

A distro provides the user with a desktop environment, preloaded applications, and ways to update and maintain the system.

Each distro makes different choices, deciding which open source projects to install and provides custom written programs. They can have different philosophies.

Some distros are intended for desktop computers, some for servers without a graphical interface, and others for special uses. Because Linux is an open source operating system, combinations of software vary between Linux distros.
