Listen is an audio player which helps you to organize your music collection.

The software offers many features such as Podcast management, browsing Shoutcast directory, and provides direct access to lyrics, lastfm and wikipedia information.

Listen can automatically generate playlists from many criteria, as well as filling your current active playlist with suggested song, search and download cover from the Internet.

Features include:

• Listen can browse different web services:
  • Shoutcast Webradio
  • Podcast
  • Lyrics (through many plugins such as lyriki, leolyrics)
  • Wikipedia information about artists or albums
• The interface has 4 different display modes:
  • Mini mode to preserve the screen space
  • Playlist mode like xmms interface
  • Normal mode with all listen’s feature in the same window
  • Party mode (fullscreen)
• Two different notifications can be used, a fancy On Screen Display or the system notification service
• Supports many different audio formats including ogg, flac, mpc, mp3, mp4, m4a
• Supports command line and dbus to easily interact with other applications
