Concord – feature-rich TUI client for Discord

Concord is a terminal user interface client for Discord written in Rust with ratatui.

It aims to bring much of the Discord experience to the command line, with support for browsing servers and channels, reading and sending messages, viewing reactions and polls, opening images, handling notifications, and using keyboard-driven navigation. It also offers optional voice playback and microphone support when built with the appropriate feature enabled.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Browse Discord servers, channels, threads, forum posts, pinned messages, and member lists.
  • Send, edit, delete, and reply to messages from a terminal interface.
  • Render a practical subset of Discord-style Markdown including headings, quotes, lists, inline styling, and code blocks.
  • View and manage emoji reactions, browse reaction users, and vote on polls.
  • Display inline image previews, avatars, custom emojis, and attachments using terminal graphics protocols where available.
  • Join and leave voice channels, with optional voice playback and gated microphone transmit when built with voice support.
  • Use vim-style keyboard navigation, leader shortcuts, mouse support, and a four-pane Discord-like layout.
  • Configure image previews, notifications, voice settings, and display options from the in-app options menu or config file.
  • Cross-platform support – runs under Linux, macOS, and Windows.
