GNOME Games – simple game launcher for GNOME

GNOME Games is a collection of sixteen small “five-minute” games in a variety of styles and genres for the GNOME desktop.

They represent many of the popular games and include card games, puzzle games and arcade games. They are meant to be the sort of game that can be played in five minutes or so.

They are also meant to be fun enough that users will play them again and again.

The 16 games:

• AisleRiot – a compilation of more than 80 different solitaire card games including Freecell, Klondike, and Clock Patience.
• Blackjack – the casino card game.
• Four-in-a-row – place disks one at a time and try to form a row of four. It is driven by the Velena Engine.
• Lagno – Tile flipping strategy game (known as Reversi and Othello).
• Klotski – Sliding block puzzle game.
• Five or More – a port of the once-popular Colour Lines game where the player moves balls around the grid and tries to form lines.
• Chess – supports several chess engines, with 2D and optionally 3D support if OpenGL is present.
• GNOME Sudoku – a Japanese logic puzzle. It is a simple generator and player.
• Mahjongg – tile-based solitaire game with an oriental flavor.
• Mines – the popular logic puzzle minesweeper. The player has to clear mines from a board using hints from squares that have already been uncovered.
• Nibbles – Worm arcade game.
• Quadrapassel – a Tetris clone.
• Robots – avoid a hoard of robots who are trying to kill you.
• Same GNOME.
• Tali – Dice chance game similar to Yahtzee.
• Tetravex – a simple puzzle where pieces must be positioned so that the same numbers are touching each other.
