studyFlash is a Python application for learning flashcards from the terminal. It is primarily designed for vocabulary study, although its question-and-answer approach can be used with other subjects.
The application presents a question and asks the learner to type the corresponding answer. It tracks performance and allows the conditions for mastering a card to be customised according to the number of correct answers, incorrect answers and consecutive successes.
studyFlash uses individual files to organise flashcard collections. Its editing, import and export facilities make it practical for preparing vocabulary lists with ordinary text editors and transferring material between study tools.
This is free and open source software.
