Spotify TUI – Spotify client for the terminal

Summary

If you want to listen to Spotify at the command-line, Spotify TUI gets our recommendation even though it’s lacking a few features we’d like.

The client is very frugal with system resources, it offers most of the essential features you get from the semi-official Spotify client without all the fluff.

The installation process is cumbersome for newcomers, but it’s worth getting over this initial hurdle.

Of course, you’ll need to subscribe to Spotify Premium to use this client. With rampant inflation in many countries, a Spotify subscription may be one of those things that’s prone to be axed.
