Configuration Management

OneCMDB – configuration management database

OneCMDB is an open source configuration management database engine that includes Nagios configuration, and NMAP discovery tools to populate the database. No programming is required to create and manage the CMDB.

This application is used to create and maintain configuration databases (CMDB) as defined by the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) best practises. OneCMDB is built around an object oriented data model that contain objects like Configuration Items (CI), Attributes and References.

OneCMDB is composed of a back-end server part (OneCMDB Core) and a web based user interface (OneCMDB Desktop). It is a multi-user system.

The user interface allows users to view, search and navigate the CMDB. It also allows designers to manage the CMDB’s data model.

OneCMDB Multi User Edition contains all you need to run OneCMDB on your workstation or server. It bundles the latest version of OneCMDB Core, OneCMDB Desktop, an embedded database HSQLDB, a web server Apache Tomcat servlet container) and a network discovery tool (network mapper) nmap in one package.

Key Features

  • Highly configurable.
  • Set of ready-made data models which can be adapted.
