Mixxx is a DJ mixing application designed for preparing tracks and performing live sets. It brings together virtual decks, a mixer, track analysis and music library management in an interface that can be used with a laptop or dedicated DJ hardware.
The software caters for conventional beatmatching, scratching and more elaborate performances involving multiple simultaneous tracks. DJs can connect external controllers and sound cards or work entirely through the graphical interface. Its music library helps organise recordings before a performance, while the deck displays provide detailed visual feedback during mixing.
