Jellyfin – media system to manage and stream media

Jellyfin is a free and open source media system that puts you in control of managing and streaming your media.

It is an alternative to the proprietary Emby and Plex, to provide media from a dedicated server to end-user devices via multiple apps.

Enjoy your music collection. Make playlists, and listen on the go. Jellyfin also lets you access your entire movie collection, watch TV shows, and lets you watch life TV and set automatic recordings.

Jellyfin has a collection of optional plugins that can be installed to provide additional features.

Features include:

  • Client–server model that allows for multiple users and clients to connect, simultaneously, and stream digital media remotely.
  • SyncPlay – this allows multiple users to consume media content together in a synchronized fashion.
  • Extensible, and optional third-party plugins exist to provide additional feature functionality.
