Big Hardware Info is a desktop application for Linux that gathers detailed system and device information and presents it in a modern GTK4/libadwaita interface.
It’s designed to make hardware inspection easier for troubleshooting, documentation, and support by combining a system overview, category-based hardware views, and report sharing in a single application.
This is free and open source software.
Key Features
- Collects detailed information for CPU, GPU, memory, storage, network, audio, battery, Bluetooth, sensors, USB, PCI, webcams, and printers.
- Presents data in a GTK4/libadwaita interface with sidebar navigation, dark mode support, responsive layout, progress indicators, and toast notifications.
- Includes global search, selectable text, collapsible sections, and copy-to-clipboard support for hardware details.
- Generates standalone HTML reports and can upload them to filebin.net, with privacy options to exclude serial numbers, MAC addresses, and IP addresses.
- Can optionally use pkexec for elevated data collection, including S.M.A.R.T. information, advanced sensor readings, and protected system files.

Hi Steve. Do you have a screenshot for Big Hardware Info? Thanks.
Hi Torin. I’ve just added an image (a sneak preview of the CPU in a mini workstation I’ll be writing about this week).
Thanks, Steve. 🙂
I don’t see any instructions on how to build the program on the program’s website.
Hi Bill. I’ve only built in on Arch-based distros. The developer includes a PKGBUILD.
Install the dependencies, clone the repository and use makepkg
