WebCleaner is a filtering HTTP proxy. It removes adverts, compresses documents, deanimates GIFs, can use SquidGuard filter lists, and more.
It is easy to configure with a web interface.
WebCleaner enhances your privacy and efficiency on the web. It comes with several ready-to-use filters to remove advertisements and unwanted HTML content, compresses documents on-the-fly, disables animated GIF images and more.
Features include:
- Remove unwanted HTML (adverts, flash, etc).
- Exact HTML filtering, parsing all HTML data.
- JavaScript filtering which eliminates all JavaScript obfuscation, popups, and document.write() stuff, but the other JavaScript functions still work as usual.
- Popup blocker.
- Disable animated GIFs.
- Filter images by size, remove banner adverts.
- Compress documents on-the-fly (with gzip).
- Reduce images to low-bandwidth JPEGs.
- Remove/add/modify arbitrary HTTP headers.
- Configurable over web interface.
- Usage of SquidGuard blacklists.
