VailuxOS is an open source Debian-based Linux operating system built on Ubuntu as its foundation. Its main goal is to make the transition from Windows to Linux as seamless as possible by maintaining familiar ways of working and workflows.
Features include:
- VailuxOS is based on Ubuntu“s package base. It is compatible with most Ubuntu apt packages. It is a perfect combination of experience and ecology.
- Designed not to collect any information from you. There is no tracking, or profiles. Users remain anonymous to the system.
- KDE-based desktop environment features a beautiful interface modeled after Windows 11.
- Containerized – Graphical applications are installed via Flatpak and remain separate from the base system (since version 1.3). They also allow for fine-tuned control over their permissions.
