Here’s a chart shows termusic’s memory usage compared to a range of other popular open source music players.

As you can see, termusic is the leanest out of the selection even beating the amazing frugal musikcube (a sublime terminal music player). We’re showing average values after performing a fixed routine of actions.

Note, many of the music players shown in the chart sport an attractive graphical user interface. It’s therefore not surprising some of the players consume vastly more memory.
