SerialTool is a cross-platform serial/network debugging tool. This tool supports serial debugging assistant, terminal, waveform display and file transfer.
SerialTool supports basic text transmission. The text transmission interface supports sending and receiving in hexadecimal and ASCII formats. You can customize the character encoding used for text transmission. Currently, SerialTool supports ASCII, GB-2312, GB-18030, UTF-8, UTF-16BE, and UTF-16LE, a total of 6 character encodings. In addition, it also supports multiple code highlighting modes, which is very helpful for the operation of text communication protocols (such as using JSON communication).
This is free and open source software.
Features include:
- Internationalization support.
- Skin Change.
- The waveform display supports up to 16 channels by default, and can be recompiled to support more channels.
- Waveform data saving (plain text, csv format) and reading.
- Waveform data supports timestamps. Timestamps include year, month, day, hour, minute, second, millisecond, and sampling rate, which facilitates waveform data analysis (timestamps are sent by the lower computer).
- The text sending and receiving interface supports syntax highlighting (Bash, JSON, Lua, C/C++, etc.)
- The text sending and receiving interface supports multiple character encodings, such as GB2312, UTF8, UTF16, etc.
- Communication interface supports TCP/UDP and serial port.
- Support file transfer (currently only supports XModem protocol).
