mmtc – minimal mpd terminal client

Last Updated on August 11, 2021

Summary

mmtc is probably going to be too minimalistic for many users. There’s no library management nor a directory browser. But it’s extremely lightweight which may be an important consideration.

Aut because it’s a front-end to MPD, at least there’s the essential gapless playback. Gapless playback is the uninterrupted playback of consecutive audio tracks, such that relative time distances in the original audio source are preserved over track boundaries on playback. It’s essential if you listen to classical, electronic music, concept albums, and progressive rock.
