GoTTy – turn CLI tools into web applications

Summary

GoTTy is a useful utility. But you need to be careful running it. Even innocuous programs could open up security holes.

The software also runs on various ARM architectures. We’ve tested it on a few Raspberry Pi machines and can report good performance.

GoTTy has attracted a wide user base. It has received more than 14K stars on GitHub. The project’s last public release was in August 2017 with the last commit in December 2017. While the project is therefore unmaintained, there’s a ton of forks.
