Vinari OS – Debian-based Linux distribution

Vinari OS is a Linux distribution built on Debian 12.

Featuring the GNOME 43.9 desktop environment, it comes preloaded with essential development tools and everyday utilities.

Minimum requirements:

  • Processor: Dual core 64-bit only Intel or AMD running at 1.5 GHz
  • Memory: 2 GB (3 GB required for better experience).
  • Graphics: AMD, Nvidia or Intel with 64 MB of Video RAM.
  • Display: 1024×768 resolution.
  • Startup system: BIOS or UEFI.
  • Storage: 10 GB free on an EXT4 partition.
  • Input device: Mouse and keyboard or touchscreen.

What's a Linux distribution ("distro")?

A distro provides the user with a desktop environment, preloaded applications, and ways to update and maintain the system.

Each distro makes different choices, deciding which open source projects to install and provides custom written programs. They can have different philosophies.

Some distros are intended for desktop computers, some for servers without a graphical interface, and others for special uses. Because Linux is an open source operating system, combinations of software vary between Linux distros.
