LinuxGameCast Weekly Blurb

Bringing you the latest Linux gaming news, reviews, how to’s and whatever the hell elks we come up with.

There’s 700,000 Linux gamers on the Steam digital distribution platform, and it’s a growing market.

About the Show

LinuxGamecast Weekly is broadcasted on Saturday 6:30pm Pacific / 9:30pm Eastern.

There’s lots of coverage of the latest developments for Linux gamers on the Steam digital distribution platform. Most of the games featured are, of course, proprietary software but open source games are also featured in their shows.

The show is available both as an audio podcast and a video podcast. There are show notes for each episode, colour-coded by presenter.

The show contains profanity, so it’s not family friendly.

About the Hosts

Venn Stone describes himself as a producer, Linux enthusiast, gamer and educator. He specializes in deep or “baritone” voice work during the day and that comes across in the podcast with his deep, gravelly voice. He certainly adds gravitas to the shows. He’s never had Debian with X installed. The sacrilege (only joking).

Jordan Cwang describes himself as “Penguin. Podcaster. Powerlifter. Pungeon Master?”

Pedro Mateus is billed as the official Hype-Man for LinuxGameCast. He’s the youngest of the hosts. A gaming Linux user who plays OpenMW, an open-source open-world RPG game engine that supports playing Morrowind.
