Software submodule
- Softy – installs a variety of useful open source software including Samba, TV headend, Synchthing, OpenHAB, Plex, Emby, Radarr, Sonarr, Minidlna, UrBackup, Docker, and ISPConfig.
- Monitor – basic monitoring. With a 5 second interval it outputs processor frequency, load, CPU%, SYS%, USR%, NICE%, IO%, IRQ%, and CPU temperature. There are much better monitoring tools available for the RV2.
- Benchmarking – this tool is not designed for Ubuntu 24.04.2 (Noble Numbat), so I didn’t test this on the RV2.
- Diagnostics – sends system diagnostics information.
- RDP – Enables remote desktop access. There are many RDP clients available for Linux.
- Thunderbird – Installs this hugely popular and respected GUI mail client.
- Gimp – Installs GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), a free and open-source raster graphics editor, often used as a Photoshop alternative.
- Writer – Installs LibreOffice Writer, a free and open-source word processor and desktop publishing component of the LibreOffice suite.
- Suite – Installs LibreOffice, a very popular free and open-source office productivity software suite.
