Quake Live – multiplayer game experience

Quake Live is a new and innovative multiplayer game experience from id Software – the creators of the hugely popular games, Doom and Quake.

Quake Live is a fast paced tactical first person shooter. The objective in the game is to frag/kill enemy players and score points by completing gametype specific objectives, while maneuvering within a combat arena gathering items to maintain ones health, armor and ammo to stay alive.

Quake Live’s battlegrounds come in various sizes and styles to accommodate varying level of skill and styles of play.

Features include:

  • Beginner to Pro – Easily play against others at your skill level.
  • Over 50 arenas and 5 game modes for endless competition.
  • Practice and compete offline against automated bot players.
  • Different Game types:
    • Free For All – Players engage in a match, where everyone fights for themselves. Whoever hits the frag limit first wins and ends the game. When the time limit expires, player with the most frags is the winner.
      • Instagib.
    • Duel – Player versus player (1-on-1) combat. Whoever gets the most frags before the time is up wins.
    • Team Deathmatch – Same rules as Free for All but in this mode, two teams fight each other.
    • Clan Arena – Team-based gameplay where everyone starts fully equipped with full armor and weapons. When fragged, the player must wait for the next round to begin. Players can rocket jump & plasma climb with no health penalty.
    • Capture the Flag – Each team has a base, holding a flag. To earn points and win the game, a player must take the opposing team’s flag and return it to their own base, while his team’s flag is secure at his own base.
  • Wide variety of weapons:
    • Gauntlet.
    • Machinegun.
    • Shotgun.
    • Grenade Launcher.
    • Rocket Launcher.
    • Lightning Gun.
    • Railgun.
    • Plasma Gun.
    • BFG 10K.
    • Chaingun.
    • Nailgun.
    • Proxy Launcher.
  • 3 different types of armor: Armor Shard, Yellow Armor, and Red Armor.
  • Power-ups: Battle Suit, Flight, Haste, Invisibility, Quad Damage, Regeneration.
  • Team Power-ups.
