Zeal – simple offline documentation browser

In Operation

After installing some docsets, we can now explore the software. Its appearance is reminiscent of built-in help browsers that are available in GNOME, KDE, and other environments.

The left pane hosts docsets and the contents tree, while the main pane displays the current section content.

Periodically, you want to hit the Refresh button which updates the index of available docsets.

Just small note, that Zeal’s docsets can be used in GNU Emacs too, with (multi)package called helm-dash. The documentation can be then displayed in Emacs web browser (or any other). This is fine, because Emacs can simply and easy show the documentation of the statement, where the cursor is located.
