Sake – simple static site generator

Sake is a simple static site generator built with make.

The name “sake” is derived from the words Site and Make.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Designed for simple projects.
  • Goal is for the software to be as simple as possible without sacrificing usability.
  • Layouts – create layouts by creating templates (.j2) that follow the Jinja2 Child Template format.
  • Optional template metadata. Templates can have metadata such as page title, date, tags etc.
  • Optional custom data. You can create custom data files that can be accessed in any template.
