csplitb – split binary files

csplitb is a tool like csplit but which splits binary files based on content boundaries rather than index boundaries.

ccut is a UNIX ‘cut’ command. It adds a couple of extra features (and a couple of features missing). This is free and open source software.

choose is a human-friendly and fast alternative to cut and (sometimes) awk. It’s free and open source software written in Rust.

hck is close to drop in replacement for cut that can use a regex delimiter instead of a fixed string. It’s written in Rust.

digup is a console tool to update md5sum or shasum digest files.

Hashing is the process of passing data through a formula that produces a condensed fixed-value representation, called a hash value.

sha3sum are fully configurable byte-orientated checksum utilities for Keccak and its close derivatives SHA-3, SHAKE and RawSHAKE.

md5sum is software that calculates and verifies 128-bit MD5 hashes, as described in RFC 1321.

Jacksum is data integrity software for working with checksums, CRCs, and message digests (hashes).
