Audio Tag Tool Audio Tag Tool manages the information fields in MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files, commonly called tags. Cantus Cantus is a very complete program to rename and tag mp3 files. It is based on Gtk2 and handles any tagged file. ID3 mass tagger ID3 mass tagger is a mass tagger for audio files. This means it is intended to be used for non-interactively performing operations on the meta-data in a number of files with just a single command. ID3.py ID3.py allows one to read and manipulate so-called ID3 informational tags on MP3 files through an object-oriented Python interface. ID3edit ID3edit is a command line based ID3v1.1 tag editor for unix like systems. id3ren id3ren is used to rename batches of mp3 files by reading the ID3 tag at the end of the file which contains the song name, artist, album, year, and a comment. id3tool id3tool is a command line utility for easy manipulation of the ID3 tags present in MPEG Layer 3 audio files. id3v2 id3v2 is a command line editor for id3v2 tags. K-Yamo K-Yamo is an MP3 and Ogg Vorbis tagger with ID3v2 support. It can store ID3v1, ID3v2.3, or ID3v2.4 tags. It also stores pictures in the tags. K-Yamo supports multi-file editing. It also cleans up your files into a structured filesystem tree which makes use of the tags in the files. Finally, it is a CD ripper with FreeDB support. A MySQL database can optionally be used for tagging. KMP3Info KMP3Info is a simple K-Tool, to edit the ID3-Tags of MP3-Files. KTagIt KTagIt is a tag Editor and file renamer for ogg and mp3 (and maybe later flac) will support CDDB request. last.tag last.tag is a tag editor for the last.fm online music service. MP3c MP3c is a curses-based audio-cd to MP3-converter with CDDB support. MP3Info MP3Info is a little utility used to read and modify the ID3 tags of MP3 files. MP3Info can also display various techincal aspects of an MP3 file including playing time, bit-rate, sampling frequency and other attributes in a pre-defined or user-specifiable output format. MP3Organizer MP3Organizer is designed to organize your MP3-collection. It gets the song information from the MP3-Files and its ID3-Tags or the filenames and stores it in a mysql-database. mp3ql mp3ql is a tool for browsing, organizing and tagging large collections of mp3 files. mp3quicktag.pl mp3quicktag.pl is a perl script for displaying or modifying ID3v1.x tags on MP3 files. mp3r mp3r is a utility designed for non-interactive renaming of MP3 files (songs) according to information found in their ID3 tag. mp3tools mp3tools is a collection of programs for managing collections of MPEG audio files. mp3tools contains several components, each of which is a seperate program. Two of these aremp3info and mp3id3. mp3info will show you the play length, bitrate, MPEG version and layer of an MPEG audio file. mp3id3 will show you the ID3 tags from an MPEG audio file and letyou change them. Another of mp3tools' components is mp3index. mp3index is an extremely flexible tool to help you generate customized listings of your MPEG audio files. Musicrename Musicrename helps you to rename and move your mp3/ogg files based on their tags. PGID3 Tag Editor PGID3 is an ID3v1 and v2 tag editor for manipulating the information on files such as MP3s. It is written in PHP and uses PHP-GTK, so it can take advantage of the GTK+ Toolkit for rendering a GUI. The program itself is broken into three parts, a PHP Function Library called Pid Three (Pid3), a PHP CLI interface (PCLID3), and the GTK+ GUI itself. Pinky-Tagger Pinkytagger is for editing and mass tagging music file tags. Pinkytagger uses the Musicbrainz service to find tags automatically. To do so, Pinkytagger generates fingerprints (TRM-Hashes) of your files and compares them with the data from a Musicbrainz server. Popol Popol is a small ID3v1.1 tagger. QTagger QTagger is a Qt based mp3 tagger for GNU/Linux and Unix like operating systems. It can be used to get an overview of all the MP3 files in one or more directories. tagclean tagclean is a utility to make it easy to maintain a clean and structured collection of ogg's and mp3's. Give it a filename and it will go through great effort to extract useful information from IDv1, IDv2, vorbiscomments and filename, clean it up and present it for you to create nice tag. taginfo Taginfo is a quick implementation of the taglib API for use in the music jukebox program Room Juice. It's meant to be fast, not featureful. It reads whatever tags taglib can read, which as of this writing are ID3, ID3v2, Ogg, and FLAC. TagReport TagReport is an audio file "indexer" that recurses into directories and reads tags/Vorbis comments from MP3s, Ogg Vorbis files, and FLAC files, outputting the results to an HTML file which can be customized via a template interface. TkTag TkTag is a Tk/Perl application that allows the user to edit and modify ID3 headers in mp3 files. In addition to editing and modifying tags manually, you can also set up input and output masks to either create tags from filenames, or rename files based on tag fields. v2strip v2strip removes ID3v2 tags from MP3 files. Xid3 Xid3 is a simple editor for ID3 tags in MP3 files using the mp3info tool.
