This software automates the configuration of machines to a particular state. Like any other tools, they are designed to solve specific problems in certain ways. The goal is to get a system from whatever state it is in, into the desired state. Configuration management software are the tools of choice for many system administrators and devops professionals.

  • additemtodock
    additemtodock is command line utility for adding items to the dock. It is aimed at system administrators.
  • AJoiner
    AJoiner is a small, lightweight application for joining split files. These files can be in any format, as long as they use Mastersplitter's naming convention (.001 - .999).

    A program for aliasing removable disks so they can be searched when not mounted.

    basE91 is an advanced method for encoding binary data as ASCII characters. It is similar to UUencode or base64, but is more efficient. The overhead produced by basE91 depends on the input data. It amounts at most to 23% (versus 33% for base64) and can range down to 14%, which typically occurs on 0-byte blocks.

    BBAutoComplete adds word auto-completion to scriptable applications. You type the start of a word, press a key, and BBAutoComplete types the letters to complete the word.
