    • LTris
      LTris as a tetris clone which means you have a bowl with blocks falling down. By rotating and moving the blocks you try to assemble whole lines which then disappear. LTris has three modes for this: Classic is the classical one where you play until the bowl becomes filled, Figures resets the bowl contents to a new figure for each level and adds suddenly appearing tiles and lines later on and Multiplayer where up to three players either controlled by human or CPU(!) compete and send completed lines to each other. hot
    • Abandoned Bricks
      a modern clone of the good-old Tetris game. Beside the classic gameplay if offers great music, good sound effects and a duel mode. It also has a bastet mode based on popular Bastet game by Federico Poloni. For those not familiar with Bastet, this quote may help: Bastet does not choose your next brick at random. Instead, Bastet uses a special algorithm designed to choose the worst brick possible. As you can imagine, playing Bastet can be a very frustrating experience
    • Alizarin Tetris
      a Tetris-like game with a twist for Unix, Win32 and BeOS systems. It includes multi-player support, user-extensible color, shape and sound styles, can use TCP/IP networking and features a few different AI opponents
    • Bastet
      a free (GPL'd) clone of Tetris(r) (built on the top of petris by Peter Seidler) which is designed to be "as bastard as possible": it tries to compute how useful blocks are and gives you the worst, the most bastard it can find
    • Bedter
      a Linux-port of Bedter 2.52 for Windows
    • BlingBling
      a clone of the puzzle game Puyo Puyo (which itself was a competitor of Tetris)
    • Blobtrix
      Blobtrix is a modern Tetris-like game for two players to play over the Internet. One player plays upwards and the other downwards. You can select blocks from the block list and move them to the correct location - and launch - even before all the older blocks have collided.
    • Block Rage
      Block Rage will be a falling blocks game with detailed graphics and animated plasmatic backgrounds. You will be able to challenge your friend in a 2-player hotseat mode! It is strongly inspired by a superb DOS classic.
    • Christmas 2002
      an OpenGL Tetris clone that features everything a good Tetris game has to have. As the name already imposes, the game has Christmas as main theme: snowflakes are falling in the background, nice Christmas music is playing and the blocks are Christmas gift boxes
    • Crack Attack!
      a free OpenGL Linux game based on the Super Nintendo classic Tetris Attack
    • ctetris
      a tetris clone, written in C using the ncurses library. It works very fast and efficient, so it should be possible to play it even over a slow remote terminal
    • Falling Block Game
      a block-stacking game similar to Tetris. The timing and scoring are similar to the original Gameboy game, but the visuals and piece control are much improved
    • Fscktris
      a patch for e2fsprogs-1.18 that makes those tiresome fsck's much more fun. Play a tetris clone while fsck does its work
    • Gemhun
      all about grouping gems/stones of a chosen amount together which will then dissappear. There will be plenty of different game-modes, theme- and network-support. It is inspired by FrozenBubble/Tetris and some others
    • Ghextris
      a Python/Gnome reimplementation of the semi-free Xhextris. The object of the game is basically the same as in Tetris; use the pieces that fall down from the top of the game area to construct fully filled lines, which will then disappear to make room for more pieces. The twist is that the pieces are composed of hexagonal blocks, so your visualization skills will get an extra workout
    • GTetrinet
      a clone of the popular Tetrinet game
    • GtkTetcolor
      a game that resembles well-known tetris and xjeweles
    • Intelligent TETRIS
      another implementation of the classic game that could hardly impress anyone, apart from a minor feature: ability to play itself. Yes, it can think! In demo mode, it does not follow a predesigned scenario, it does not even select a convenient tile: the tiles fall in usual random way
    • KFoulEggs
      an adaptation of the Japanese game Puyo-Puyo. If you have played Tetris, or one of its many clones, you will find kfouleggs easy to learn
    • Kolumns
      inspired by Sega's Columns. The game is a mixture of Tetris and maybe Tic-Tac-Toe (the goal is consecutive blocks of the same color). Nice graphics. Easy & fun to play! The game runs on KDE 3.x for Linux or other Unix-like platforms
    • KSirtet
      an adaptation of the well known game Tetris. You must fit the falling pieces to form full lines. You can rotate and translate the falling piece. The game ends when no more piece can fall ie when your incomplete lines reach the top of the board
    • ksmiletris
      ksmiletris is a Tetris-like game written for the K Desktop Environment using the Qt and KDE libraries. As of KDE 1.1, it has been integrated in the games package of KDE.
    • KTorus
      KTorus is a simple game inspired by Torus for DOS. The object of KTorus is to clear falling toruses by aligning toruses with the same color on one of several protruding pipes.
    • LinXtris
      a multi-platform Tetris clone written in Ada95 and Gtkada released under the GNU General Public License
    • Madblox
      (commercial) a falling-blocks game, in which you complete rows to score points. But, watch-out for the madblox! They hide themselves in the falling shapes and wreak havoc on your carefully placed blocks
    • PackAttack
      a game, a little bit like tetris. You have to move falling boxes into a row, in order to get the best high score. The game is a clone of the, on some cellular phones (like Simens SE45) found game, "Stack Attack"
    • Petris
      a Tetris clone based on the ncurses library
    • PyPebbles
      one of the many Tetris-like puzzle games. A board is filled with stones of different colors. Your goal is to make lines of stones of the same color. Two neighbouring stones can swap places, but only if a line of three or more stones is formed that way. Those lines will then disappear, letting other stones fall down. You score points for every line that disappears. It's that simple

      the 3-D extrapolation of the widely popular puzzle-arcade game, Tetris(tm). Whereas the objective of the classical Tetris(tm) game was to arrange falling pieces into horizontal lines, the objective of T^3 is to form square surfaces
    • Teamtris
      a two-player cooperative Tetris clone. It consists of an extra-wide board with two pieces dropping simultaneously. This game is written in C, currently using svgalib for graphics and keyboard access

Multiple matches at a time score more points, and dump more rocks on the opponent (a quintuple-match will dump around 20 rocks on the opponent, all at once).
