I'm a somewhat noobie to Linux and have been "playing" with it for the past 2-3 years. I've installed Linux Mint Debian Edition (a rolling distro) and am searching for a jukebox or media program comparable to JRivers Media Jukebox/media Centre (which will not run on Linux with either WINE or Crossoverlinux. I have over 11k music files (songs) most with multiple genres.
My player requirements are:
1) To be able to create "smartlists" or Playlists easily by genre
2) To be able to not include certain categories in some playlists (ie: Christmas)
3) To be able to add songs, artists, albums to "playing now" without having to create another playlist.

I reviewed the 6 Best Free Linux music servers, and as a noobie, would appreciate comments and suggestions. I'm seeking a jukebox or media center program as similar to JRivers Media Jukebox as possible which meets the above criteria. Especially since I have 11k+ music files (songs) already cataloged by genres of which most are categorized by multiple genres.

Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated.
