San Diego, CA – January 31, 2006 – Storix, Inc. announced the first-ever full-system backup and disaster recovery support for Linux systems installed on HP Integrity series servers, which utilize Intel’s Itanium IA-64 processor. The new support arrives in Storix’ latest release of System Back Administrator (SBAdmin) version 5.3 released today.

Mandriva, publisher of the popular Mandriva Linux operating system, today announced a new partnership with HP to distribute HP computers pre-loaded with Mandriva Linux 2006 to 37 countries in Latin America.
As part of the agreement, Mandriva has been named the "Preferred Linux Partner for Latin America" and Mandriva Linux 2006 has been optimized and certified for HP machines. The companies will work together on sales, support and marketing in all Latin American territories, including Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.

QuickUML is an intuitive UML tool, well suited to agile development methods or extreme programming. A tabbed window provides tight integration and synchronization to the entire project through use cases, class models, object models, dictionary and code. Each use case captures the essence of a user-visible function the system must perform. Class models show package and class objects in the system and various kinds of static relationships. Sequence diagrams illustrate how instantiated objects interact and emphasize the order in which things occur. A design project is saved as a platform independent XML file.
