Reddit is a popular content sharing platform where registered users submit content to the site in the form of links. The links typically point to news and blog articles, videos and pictures. Users have the ability to vote on these submissions, with the collective votes determining what content is considered good and what is regarded as junk.

There are a number of applications available on Google Play (the digital multimedia content service from Google) which make use of the Reddit API to provide Android client interfaces to the reddit website. Whilst some members will be happy to browse, read, and participate in Reddit via their web browser, client interfaces offer a more enjoyable way to access the 'front page of the internet'.
